Summer Adventure Camp Typical Week | Madison Summer Camp

Program

Character Development – Each week on Monday morning, campers begin the week with an introduction to a character trait. There will be a story, videos, or presenter as well as a discussion that puts the character trait into terms the kids can understand and try to implement in their daily lives. We reinforce the trait throughout that week and the summer. We use the Character First Curriculum as a guide when planning the traits and topics.
Advanced Art – These are not your typical paper craft projects. We get down and dirty with these projects and they will be worthy of hanging on your wall at home. They may include tie dye t-shirts, creating canvasses, painting ceramics, creating stepping stones, and so much more. All campers will want to do these projects.
Rooftop Soccer Field – That’s right, we have a full soccer field on the roof of our building and we take full advantage of it. We play many games and introduce a lot of sports. The field is made of ground up rubber, making it safer to play on. Football, kickball, tee ball, tag games, team building, ball tag, free choice, matball, and, of course, soccer are just some of the games we play on the roof.
Gymnasium – We have access to 2 full-court basketball courts in the gymnasium. So even if it rains, the kids are able to let loose and use up all that  energy. Almost anything you can think of we can play in the gym: floor hockey, soccer, crab soccer, matball, ball tag, team building, volleyball, and yes, basketball. These are just some of the activities that we can do in the gym.
Friday Round Up – Every Friday, all the campers will culminate in our theater room. There, we will have a little presentation or sing songs to start the round up time off. We will reminisce on all the fun we had throughout the week with a weekly video. Campers love seeing their picture or video on the big movie screen. We will have a drawing where campers have the opportunity to win a prize! To top it all off, we will have teacher challenges where the kids will cheer for the teachers – we are not scared to get a little messy with this as well!
Themed Day Friday – Every Friday we will have a different theme. The campers will be able to be creative and dress up with  the staff. Some themes include favorite jersey day, crazy hair day, crazy socks day.

Summer Camps are for Grades Entering K through 8th!
