Devil’s Lake State Park is located in Baraboo, Wisconsin, and is Wisconsin’s most popular state park. The over 9,000-acre park anchors more than 27,000 acres of parkland and natural areas open to public recreation in Sauk County. Devil’s Lake contains amazing parks, natural areas, hiking trails, bike trails, kayaking, boating, and so much more!
We will be traveling to New Glarus where we enjoy the use of their public facilities, including playgrounds, parks, and pool. Things we do at New Glarus include:
- Games: From Sharks & Minnows to Volcanoes & Craters, we will be playing a vast array of games in the park.
- Crafts: Crafts done at New Glarus will trend towards more detailed crafts, such as 3D names and flip books.
- Sports: New Glarus has an excellent field that we can use for wiffle ball, kickball, soccer, and many other sports, but they also have basketball courts and sand volleyball courts that we will be putting to good use!
- Pool: Located right next to the Village Park, the New Glarus pool has slides, diving boards, lifeguards, and all the water we need for a great afternoon.

- Water park day! Today we are off to Noah’s Ark! Noah’s Ark, recognized as America’s Largest Waterpark, was established in 1979 and is located on 70 sprawling acres in the Waterpark Capital of the World, Wisconsin Dells. Featuring an endless river, three children’s water play areas, and two giant wave pools, Noah’s Ark is one of the best places to bring your kids in Wisconsin Dells.
Bethel Horizons is a traditional sleep-away camp located outside Dodgeville that we partner with to provide more extreme and challenging trips for SAC Sr., such as high ropes, climbing, and rappelling off a 60-foot cliff! All activities are supervised by Bethel Horizons‘ own highly trained staff.
Campers will learn the basics of Rock Climbing and Rappelling techniques, equipment, philosophy and safety while climbing and rappelling on Horizons bluffs.
The Milwaukee County Zoo will educate, entertain and inspire you! Visit over 2,100 mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles in specialized habitats spanning 190 wooded acres. Explore educational wildlife shows, fun attractions and enticing special events.
